Mothers Trust Foundation
Mission Statement
Mothers Trust Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to meeting the critical needs of disadvantaged children in Lake County. Since our founding in 1998, we have helped more than 17,500 children with grants totaling almost $1.5 million.
All requests for assistance come to Mothers Trust through qualified social service providers and educators on behalf of their clients and students. The requests are very diverse but may include helping with educational expenses, paying for items that children would be forced to go without such as clothing, sports fees, music lessons, eyeglasses or tutoring, offering rental assistance to avoid homelessness and enter into Section 8 housing, and collaborating with other agencies to pay off utility bills. We respond to service requests in a very timely manner (less than 7 days) and provide funding within 24 hours of granting assistance.
In these difficult economic times, the need for Mothers Trust’s assistance continues to skyrocket, often from many who never dreamed they would have to ask for help. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in so many people’s lives and welcome volunteers in all areas of our organization.
